Trip: The Sounds/Shiny Toy Guns

Purpose of visit: At the suggestion of Mr Sims another possible chance to see The Sounds in concert in Sheffield. For reference they are playing support to the "Shiny Toy Guns'. Nick driving. Pick up 5/5:30 he thinks.

Trip: Cleveland Way

Purpose of visit: The Cleveland Way from Helmsley to Filey. Done in sections over various weekends. This would cover 2 days of the walk staying in the Helmsley Youth Hostel. See previous article for further details.

Trip: Super League Weekend, Cardiff
Date: May bank holiday weekend (4/5/6/7), 2007

Purpose of visit: All Super League games to be played in one weekend at the Millenium Stadium. Have made a Travelodge booking for one room that can be cancelled (2 nights in Cardiff) and also another for Bristol on the Friday night if needed. Could be combined with a full week down South? We now know Hull will play Hull KR on the Saturday.

Sweden/Denmark - Match report (very very condensed version)

Friday: Early start. Humberside. Amsterdam. Copenhagen. Blobbys bag doesn't arrive. Nobody knows where it is. Blobby, KLM and most of all Mint. We go to Sweden with Malmo Syd. Mint spends most of the day tracking Blobbys bag on the Internet. To no avail. We go out. Fishcake goes to bed. Big noses and grey hair banned in Malmo. Or maybe he has flu. Drink fruity Kronenburg. Most expensive beer in Sweden. Mint meets Barry Hilton in Club Paris. Mint goes to bed. Me and Blobby get buzzarded. I ride a bike. I eat all the McChicken nuggets in Sweden.
Saturday: Went to Denmark. Blobby wearing dirty pants. Blobby bag recovered (no thanks to KLM). Went out. Everyone suddenly likes Irish bars. Fishcake is a property developer. Mint a porn star. Blobby a lorry driver. Me an IT geek. Well guessed girls. Thanks. Come to think of it are Nick and Eric girls names even? Bought a green alien.
NYE: Little Mermaid. Fishcake loves the Dandy Warhols. Went to the the Theatre bar. The Danish Theatre Bar. A turkey shoot. Mint likes coco pops. And old ladies. Blobby leaves 1AM. Mint 5AM. Jarv 6AM. Pete not seen again. New name is Andy McNab. Apparently found in the SAS. The Radisson SAS.
Monday: Fish found. Not well. In bed again. Other characters afternoon session. Hoegaarden times 10. Jagermeister. Why?
Tuesday. Lets go home. Maybe not. Flight delayed. Connection missed. Night in Amsterdam.
