Cleveland Way (Updated)

So myself and Mint have finally started the Cleveland Way. To get to the start we have already walked around 130 miles from Hull to Filey on the Wolds Way and then onto Helmsley via the Tabular Hills Walk. Listed below is how we are doing so far and what we have still got to do. Due to logistical/trasport problems and running a couple of weeks late we had to do day 2 before 1 - trust us!

Helmsley to Sutton Bank
Date : COMPLETED 13/5/2007
Transport : Car to Sutton Bank. Bus to Helmsley
Accommodation : Osmotherley Youth Hostel

Sutton Bank to Osmotherley
Date : COMPLETED 12/5/2007
Transport : Bus to Northalerton. Bus to Thirsk. Taxi to Sutton Bank!
Accommodation : Osmotherley Youth Hostel

Osmotherley to Clay Bank
Date : Sunday the 27th of May? Sunday the 17th of June?
Transport : Linked by Moorsbus somehow. Hopefully.
Accommodation : None - drive up on the Sunday.

Clay Bank to Kildale
Date : Sunday the 17th of June? Sunday the 24th of June?
Transport : Moorsbus linking the two?? Train - will update
Accommodation : None - drive up on the Sunday.

Kildale to Saltburn
Date : Looking into.
Transport : Car to Saltburn. Then train to 'boro and and train to Kildale!
Accommodation : One night in Saltburn - maybe the Saturday? Need to confirm

Saltburn to Sandsend
Date : Looking into.
Transport : via 2 buses to Sandsend!
Accommodation : Possibly stay in Saltburn for this or the above. Or even use the Whitby booking for this.

Sandsend to Robin Hoods Bay
Date : August
Transport : 2 buses!
Accommodation : Whitby Youth hostel booked for Saturday the 4/8. Use for this or below.

Robin Hoods Bay to Scarborough
Date : August
Transport : Bus 93
Accommodation : Whitby Youth hostel booked for Saturday the 4/8. Use for this or above.

Scarborough to Filey
Date : Some of the above to sort first
Transport : Train or bus between the two
Accommodation : Not required

(The above is official. Also looking at how it would be possible to do maybe Saltburn to somewhere like Staithes. Then Staithes to Whitby as this makes things possible easier). Watch this space!
